Management Center enhancements (business user tools)
The IBM Management Center for WebSphere Commerce, or Management Center, is the next generation business user tool for managing business tasks for online businesses. Using the Management Center, business users can perform tasks to create, update, and maintain merchandising and marketing assets in stores that use the Deprecated featureconsumer direct, B2B direct, Deprecated featuredemand chain, Deprecated featuresupply chain, and extended sites business models. Each business function can be managed using tools within the Management Center.

The Promotions tool in WebSphere Commerce Version 7 includes new promotion types and enhancements to help you manage your promotions.
Promotion folders available to help organize your promotions
Organize your promotions in Management Center with promotion folders. A promotion folder is a file folder within Management Center that you can use to group promotions and other promotion folders to create a folder hierarchy. By grouping your store promotions, you can more efficiently browse to and simplify managing your promotions.

Feature Pack 5 or later

Promotion folders available to help organize your promotions

Organize your promotions in Management Center with promotion folders. A promotion folder is a file folder within Management Center that you can use to group promotions and other promotion folders to create a folder hierarchy. By grouping your store promotions, you can more efficiently browse to and simplify managing your promotions.

Your promotion folders are object and tool-specific. These folders exist only within the Promotions tool and can be used only for grouping promotions and promotion folders. You cannot include objects other than promotions such as marketing activities or attributes into a promotion folder.

Feature Pack 8 An administrator can configure the Promotions tool so that when a promotion is included in a folder, the promotion no longer displays in the Promotions - List view. This behavior can make it easier to find specific unsorted promotions. Business users can browse through folders to find sorted promotions and browse the main Promotions - List view to find unsorted promotions. For more information, see Finding promotions.
