Installing Linux™ broker support
You can install broker support on a Linux™ computer by using the RPM file that is provided in the BigFix® Remote Control installation files.
About this task
Note: The target, CLI, gateway, and broker component
installation packages depend on the 32-bit version of the following libraries. For all components,
glibc and libblkid. Also, for the target component,
libgcc, libXmu, libXtst,
libXp, libXi, libXScrnSaver, and
libXinerama. Therefore, you must ensure that the libraries are installed.
Use the
ibm-trc-broker-9.x.x.i386.rpm file to install the broker
support in Linux™. Where 9.x.x is the
version that you want to install. For more
information about obtaining the Linux™ component installation
files, see Install the BigFix Remote Control components. Choose the appropriate method for obtaining the
file. At a command prompt type, the following command to install the broker software. Where 9.x.x is the version that you want to install.
rpm -ivh ibm-trc-broker-9.x.x.i386.rpm
Results
- libcrypto.so.1.0.0
- libssl.so.1.0.0
- trc_icb
- A license directory.
The trc_broker.properties file is installed in the /etc directory.
