Checking for DNF package updates
Use the DNF: Check Available Package Updates task to identify and determine whether your Rocky Linux endpoints contain applicable DNF package updates for installation.
About this task
The DNF: Check Available Package Updates task uses the dnf
check-update
command to determine which updates are available for the installed
packages on your endpoints. This task is available from the Patching
Support site.
Before you run the task, ensure that the DNF Logs analysis (ID #28) is activated. The result details of the DNF package updates that are applicable to your endpoints are listed in a new column in that analysis called DNF check-update output.
The task uses the repository in your deployment, so ensure that the DNF packages are available in your repository when you run the task.
