Resuming a failed or partial scan

If a scan fails or only partially completes due to external issues not directly related to the scan itself, you can resume the scan after resolving the external problem, such as a server down failure during the scan.

About this task

Note: The following restrictions apply:
  • You cannot resume a scan if there are issues like incorrect login credentials or if the scan configuration has been changed.
  • You can resume a scan up to 3 times.
  • You can only resume a scan within 2 months of the last scan.

Procedure

  1. You can resume a failed or partially completed DAST scan using any of the following methods:
    1. Scans and sessions > DAST Scans. From the ellipsis menu of a scan, click Resume.
    2. Applications > Application name > Scans and sessions > DAST Scans. From the ellipsis menu of a scan, click Resume.
    Note: You can also access the Resume option on an individual scan page from the Manage scan drop-down.
  2. The scan resumes from where it stopped.
