Portal Management

Managing Discover Servers
In the Discover Servers area, you can review all available Discover servers, which may include Unica Discover Transport Servers, Unica Discover datastores and Unica Discover indexing machines for search, event detection, and session replay.

        Proxy Server Authentication for Replay Server
        If a proxy server is used to connect the Replay Server to the Internet, you may need to configure authentication credentials for the Replay Server. For example, if Replay must pull images from the live site during playback, enabling this setting tells Replay to use the supplied credentials.
        On-Demand Privacy
        Through Search Server, you can configure privacy rules that are applied only during replay. Using this method of privacy enables the retention of sensitive data in the dataset for search and reporting purposes while safeguarding it from review during replay.

        You can configure the Replay Server so that it displays logging information for page loads during session replay.
        Using real-time page load logging information for session diagnostics
        Being able to view page load details in real-time enhances your ability to recognize problems associated with a customer's session and leads to quicker problem resolution. Additionally, being able to view page load details in real-time can help you identify specific files that might be the cause of discrepancies in fidelity.
        Setting Insert Missing or Cached Pages to True
        You must configure Replay Server for the Config Group Insert Missing or Cached Pages.
      - Data Service Server
        The Data Service Server manages data connections between Discover servers and components with the Discover databases. Through the Portal, you can configure the server that hosts the Data Service.
      - Report Search Server
        The Report Search Server is used for distributing searches to various servers throughout the Discover system.
      - Canister Server
        A Canister Server is used for storing captured hits for active and completed sessions.
      - Canister Search Server
        The Canister Search Server manages queries for session data across the Discover environment and other search-related functions.
      - Transport Server
        This section is used for configuring Transport server, enabling the Portal to report status for those servers. The Transport Server configuration consists of the following properties:

    Users whose accounts contain the proper permissions may administer Discover reports. Depending on the type of report, permissions to administer individual reports of that type are configured in the report definition.

Real-time logging of Replay Server

You can configure the Replay Server so that it displays logging information for page loads during session replay.

Having access to both the logs of what the Replay Server is doing and the data related to the session, can help users and Discover professional services diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to Browser Based Replay.

Access to real-time logging is reserved for Administrators.
