Configuring tasks in the plan
You can modify a submitted task before it starts running. When the task is in the ready or hold status, you can configure specific run properties on the Monitor page.

Getting started with HCL Universal Orchestrator

- Task run history
  The task run history view provides comprehensive historical data for any specific task, extending beyond the scope of the current plan. While standard system behavior restricts you to viewing task runs within the current active plan, the task run history action opens a breadcrumb view that allows you to easily access and review historical data from previous plans.

You can modify a submitted task before it starts running. When the task is in the ready or hold status, you can configure specific run properties on the Monitor page.

About this task

Before a task starts running, you can modify its current definition, use another task definition entirely, or configure its scheduling options and time restrictions. These updates apply only to the current run and do not change the original task definition. The properties you can modify are dynamic and depend on the plug-in type of the selected task. To configure tasks in plan, complete the following steps:

Procedure

From the home page, click the Monitor tab.
To filter the results, select task from the list of items.
To edit the task properties, click the required task in the Task column. The Task Properties panel is displayed.

Note: The properties and editable fields that are displayed depend on the plug-in type of the task.
From the task properties panel, select any of the following options:
- General properties: Edit the current task definition.
- Scheduling options: Modify the priority and change status, if it is not finished with the desired status.
- Time restrictions: Modify time-related attributes such as Earliest start, Latest start, Latest start action, Minimum duration, Minimum duration action, Maximum duration, Maximum duration action, Deadline, and Deadline action.
After you make the required changes, click Save.
