Disabling Z Abend Investigator

Different options are available for disabling real-time invocation of Z Abend Investigator at the system or job level, as explained in the following sections.

Regardless of the method used, SMF type 89 records are also prevented from being written.

Note that Z Abend Investigator CICS exits can alternatively be uninstalled from a given CICS region using the CFA transaction. This can be used to uninstall Z Abend Investigator from only specific CICS regions, without affecting anything else. For details, see Controlling CICS transaction abend analysis.
