        To control and monitor your workload, you can have HCL Workload Automation for Z expose a number of metrics about the status of your jobs. By further analyzing these values through a data analytics tool, such as AI Data Advisor (AIDA), you detect anomalies and anticipate failure or degradations.

      To have the Z controller open incidents through ServiceNow© and manage issues through a ticketing systems, you can use the Servicenow plug-in (available for z-centric agents on Automation Hub) or integrate HCL Workload Automation for Z with ServiceNow, as described in the following procedure.

The QCP panel

The QUERY CURRENT PLAN (QCP) panel provides answers to your production status queries. You can request detailed or summary information on individual applications, operations, or workstations, and summary information concerning all the operations. The QCP panel looks at the current plan, which is continuously updated as the operations are processed. You can use the QCP panel to:

Determine why an operation has not been started.
Provide status information.
Display a list of operations that have ended-in-error.
Decide if intervention is required to speed up the processing of specific applications. You can display the applications that are most critical and those that have missed, or are close to missing, the defined deadline.
Check information before making modifications to the current plan.
Display a list of all dependencies for an operation. This function is of particular benefit to quickly identify which outstanding predecessors are not completed. The scheduler displays up to 999 levels of dependencies.
Determine the impact of an operation that has ended in error.

You can reach the QCP panel from anywhere in HCL Workload Automation for Z panels by entering =6 at the command prompt. This takes you to the QCP menu, displayed in EQQSTOPP - Current plan and status inquiry. However, you can invoke QCP functions from many places in HCL Workload Automation for Z. For example, if you enter row command I from the ready list, the QCP panel SELECTING APPLICATION OCCURRENCE AND OPERATION INFORMATION is displayed. This can save time because you do not need to leave an area of the panel to get information.
