To see the version tree of an element

About this task

You can display the version tree of an element using the lsvtree command, HCL VersionVault Windows Explorer, Windows Explorer or the Version Tree Browser.

  • To display the version tree of an element from a command prompt, use the following command:
    
    cleartool lsvtree -graphical path
    

    The Version Tree Browser opens. For more information, click Help in the browser window.

  • To display the version tree of an element from VersionVault Windows Explorer, in either the Folder pane or the Details pane, right-click a version and click Version Tree.

  • To display the version tree of an element from Windows Explorer, right-click a version in a view and click VersionVault > Version Tree.

  • To display the version tree of an element from the Version Tree Browser, complete the following procedure:
    1. Click Start > Programs > HCL > HCL VersionVault > Version Tree Browser. The Version Tree Browser opens.
    2. Perform either of the following actions:
      • Click File > Open. Then navigate to and select an element.
      • Drag a version from VersionVault Windows Explorer or Windows Explorer to the Version Tree Browser window.
