How the installers work

The IBM EMM suite installer starts the individual product installers during the installation process.

    You must also have the DS_OStype Tar or Zip file, where OStype is the operating system. The installer places this file in the appropriate directory when you install Interaction History and Attribution Modeler.

  • If you are planning to install a patch immediately after you install Marketing PlatformCampaignDistributed MarketingeMessageContact OptimizationInteractLeadsOpportunity DetectDigital Analytics for On PremisesCustomerInsightPredictiveInsightMarketing OperationsInteraction HistoryAttribution ModelerIBM SPSS Modeler Advantage Enterprise Marketing Management Edition, make sure that the patch installer is in the same directory as that of the IBM EMM and the Marketing PlatformCampaignDistributed MarketingeMessageContact OptimizationInteractLeadsOpportunity DetectDigital Analytics for On PremisesCustomerInsightPredictiveInsightMarketing OperationsInteraction HistoryAttribution ModelerIBM SPSS Modeler Advantage Enterprise Marketing Management Edition installer.
IBM EMM is installed in one of the following directories by default:
  • opt/IBM/EMM (for UNIX™)
  • C:\IBM\EMM (for Windows™)
IBM EMM products are installed by default in a subdirectory of the IBMEMM_Home directory. For example, Marketing Platform is installed in the IBMEMM_Home/Platform directory.
IBM SPSS Modeler Advantage Enterprise Marketing Management Edition is installed in one of the following directories by default:
  • /IBM/EMM (for UNIX)
  • C:\IBM\EMM (for Windows)

However, you can change the directories during installation.

However, you can change the directory during installation.
