How do I forward a message on an Android device?
You can forward a message from your email to another recipient.
About this task
Use the following steps to forward a message to another recipient.
Note: Some Android devices utilize an external hardware menu button, while others an action bar
overflow menu on the screen to access menu items. Devices without a hardware menu button can use the
over flow menu on the screen instead. Both options access the same menu.
Procedure
- Open the message.
- Select Menu.
- From the overflow menu, select Forward.
- To view the Cc:, Bcc:, press Menu > Add Cc/Bcc.
- Optional: Type additional comments.
- Optional: Do any of the following:
- To attach one or more files on Android phones, select Menu
> Attach. On tablets, select the Attachment link,
between the subject and the message body.Note: Only attachments already downloaded to the device will be included in the new mail.
- To mark the message as private, and prevent the receiver from copying or forwarding the message, select Menu > Message Options > Prevent Copying.
- To specify delivery options on Android phones, such as priority, select Menu > Message Options. On tablets, the Message Options menu is available by selecting the Overflow Menu button, the last icon in the Action Bar.
- To attach one or more files on Android phones, select Menu
> Attach. On tablets, select the Attachment link,
between the subject and the message body.
- Select Send to send the message. The Send, Save as Draft, and Discard options also reside in the action bar.
