A badge number displays on the app icon after a reinstall. |
After uninstalling and reinstalling IBM Verse, the app may have a badge number on it. This number carries over from the previous installation. This issue is not specific to IBM Verse, and can occur for any iOS app that displays badges on its icon. |

Mail does not display correctly |
The format of some mail messages may not display correctly. Examples include text too small or large, text not fully justified across the UI if the mail includes a large table, images of various sizes, and so on. In some cases, using pinch or zoom gestures may help in some cases. Optimized mail display improvements are targeted for future updates. |
Mail synchronized to the Drafts folder on the device lose any formatting. |
When mail is synchronized to the Drafts folder on the IBM Verse Mobile client, the content is synchronized as plain text. Any rich text formatting within the document is not included. Editing the draft content on the device and/or sending the mail removes any formatting from the mail document. Use IBM Notes, IBM iNotes, or IBM Verse web clients when editing or sending drafts. |
Calendar
Problem | Details |
---|---|
Attachments missing from calendar notices. |
Calendar attachments are not yet supported by IBM Traveler Server. As a result, attachments have been removed from calendar notices in the IBM Verse Mail inbox until they are fully supported by the server. |
Multiple conflicting meetings do not display in the Day and Week views. |
For example, when there is a meeting from 10:30 - 11:00 and two meetings from 10:00 - 11:00, some of the meetings don't display in the Day and Week views. As a workaround, go to the Agenda view to see a list of all the meetings for the day. |

Some profile pictures do not display for my contacts |
People pictures currently come from Domino or local device contact photos. Connections Profiles pictures are currently only available when the app is configured to use a Connections Cloud account. Non-cloud users do not have access to Connections Profiles pictures in the app. As a result, any contact photos you see come from contacts found on the device. IBM Traveler contacts and any associated photos sync from contacts located in the user's Notes server mail DB. Non-cloud Connections Profiles picture support and other Connections Profiles integration is targeted for a future release. |
There are no suggestions for Important People on my device |
Important People will sync between web and mobile, but suggestions for Important People are not currently available on the mobile client. Future versions of the mobile app will include Suggestions. |
There are no Important People in the app |
Important People are available only to Connections Cloud users. Non-cloud users do not have access to Important People in the app. Important People support for non-cloud users is expected in a future release. |
My contacts are not syncing to Apple Contacts |
Ensure the options Sync with Apple Contacts in the IBM Verse settings view and Contacts in the Verse sub-menu of the Apple Settings app are selected. In addition, Verse will not sync your contacts to Apple Contacts if you have either iCloud or Microsoft Exchange contact syncing enabled without at least one contact local to your device. You can turn off iCloud and Microsoft Exchange contact syncing in the Apple Settings app. You can turn Exchange syncing back on after syncing Verse contacts to Apple Contacts, but turning iCloud syncing back on may cause problems. |
Search
Problem | Details |
---|---|
Search capabilities are limited |
Search is limited to the data on the device. Future updates targeted for inclusion of server side search and faceted search. |
Push notifications
Problem | Details |
---|---|
No push notifications on the device |
Cloud and non-cloud users will receive push notifications for any new mail or meeting notices, regardless of the sender. Non-cloud users who are not receiving push notifications should contact their IBM raveler server administrators to determine whether push notifications are enabled on the server. |
