SafeLinx Administrator
The SafeLinx Administrator is a Java application that lets administrators configure, monitor, and maintain the resources of one or more SafeLinx Servers.
- Controlling resources and organizational units
  SafeLinx gives you control over all resources and organizational units.
  - Assigning administrative level of authority and access
    The view an admin sees of the SafeLinx Administrator is controlled by the level of access that is assigned to that ID.
  - Searching for resources
    You can search SafeLinx for attributes associated with specific resources.
  - Refreshing the view of the resources
    You can control the refresh rate of the view of the resources.
  - Adding columns to the resource view
    In the Resource view, SafeLinx Administrator displays summary information for a class of resources in a table. Add columns to the table to display the summary information that is most important to you.
  - Removing columns from the Resource view
    In the Resource view, SafeLinx Administrator displays summary information for a class of resources in a table. If a column displays information that you would rather not include in this view, you can remove the column.
  - Changing the order of the columns in the Resource view
    In the Resource view, SafeLinx Administrator displays summary information for a class of resources in a table. You can change the order of the columns in the table .

    In the Resource view, SafeLinx Administrator displays summary information for a class of resources in a table. If you customized the table by adding or removing columns, or by modifying the order of the columns, and now want to restore the original column settings, you can reset the columns.

    Resources are objects in a SafeLinx Server system. There are three ways to add resources. The method that is used is determined by the resource's dependence on other resources

    SafeLinx Administrator gives you the ability to start and stop a SafeLinx Server.
  - Moving resources in and out of organizational units
    An admin with proper access control can transfer resources to and from organizational units.

    When an admin must add many users or mobile devices, SafeLinx Administrator recommends batch processing to simplify the process.

SafeLinx Clients
SafeLinx Clients can establish virtual private network (VPN) connections with mobile access services across various wireless and wireline network. SafeLinx Clients use these optimized, secure IP tunnels to communicate with resources on the internal network.

Removing custom settings for all resources

SafeLinx Administrator allows you to apply custom settings to all resources. These customized settings can be reset at any time to restore all resources to their original form.

About this task

You can reset the custom settings for all resources back to default settings.

Procedure

To remove all customized settings for all resources, delete the .wgcfg/lsCols.xml file from the user's home directory.

Note: The file should be deleted while you are not connected to a SafeLinx Server because the settings are stored in memory while you are connected, and the file is rewritten from memory when you log off.

Note: To remove the custom setting for some but not all resources, perform the actions that are listed in Resetting columns in the Resources view for each resource for which the customized column settings are to be removed.
