Restyle Configuration Store
Restyle can utilize customized configuration stored in an instance of a database named restyle.nsf.
A common use of this feature involves creating a server-based instance of restyle.nsf from the local restyle.ntf template, followed by creating a local replica of restyle.nsf to be used by the client running Restyle.
Create the Customization Database
To enable this feature, you need to create a database named "restyle.nsf" from the
restyle.ntf
advanced template, which is included with Nomad for
web browsers
- From the main menu, navigate to .
- In the section titled "Specify New Application Name and Location":
- Select a server that allows you to create a database.
- Enter a descriptive title for the database.
- Specify
restyle.nsf
as the filename.
- In the section titled "Specify Template for New Application":
- Select Local as the server name.
- Select the Show advanced templates checkbox. This option allows advanced templates to be displayed in the selection.
- In the "Template" section, select "restyle.ntf" from the dropdown list.
- Ensure the Inherit future design changes checkbox is selected. This ensures the new database will receive future design updates.
- Click OK to create the new database.
- When asked, "Do you want to index this database now?", select No.
- Close your application.
Create a Local Replica of the Customization Database
For Nomad for web browsers to use the custom configuration store, you need to create
a local replica of the "restyle.nsf" database.
- Launch Nomad for web browsers.
- Open the shared copy of restyle.nsf that was created in the previous steps.
- Click on the Home tab, then select Launch Workspace.
- Right-click on the application and select .
- Confirm that the file name is "restyle.nsf".
- Select All Documents and leave the other settings as they are.
- Ensure that the Remove documents not modified... checkbox is not ticked.
- Click OK. You will see the replication page indicating the replication progress.
Note: If you update the contents of the server replica of
restyle.nsf, these changes will appear in Nomad for web
browsers when replication occurs.
