License server activation
By using the My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal, you manage the activation of license servers within a deployment.
Activating the Local License Server
You can activate the HCL Local License Server (LLS) in the My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal to download the license file which is further utilized in your LLS installation.

My HCLSoftware - an overview
The My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal is the online interface used to manage license of your HCLSoftware products. Through MHS, you can seamlessly manage downloads, subscriptions, and deployments, making it simpler to access and manage the licensing of your HCLSoftware products.
Deployments
The Deployments tab allows you to create and manage your deployments.
Deployment keys
Deployment keys are generated after you create a deployment. Each deployment has a unique deployment key.
Assigning licenses
To assign license to your teams, you must first allocate the features the teams need and then activate the license server.
License server activation
By using the My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal, you manage the activation of license servers within a deployment.
- Activating the Local License Server
  You can activate the HCL Local License Server (LLS) in the My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal to download the license file which is further utilized in your LLS installation.
  - Downloading license file
    You can download the license file of an HCL Local License Server (LLS) deployment at any point in time.
  - Updating license server fingerprint
    When you regenerate a fingerprint, the same fingerprint must be updated in the My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal. When you update the fingerprint, a new license file is downloaded that you must use for your license server.
- Activating the Cloud License Server
  You can activate the HCL Cloud License Server (CLS) to generate a URL that is applied to license your HCLSoftware product.

Activating the Local License Server

You can activate the HCL Local License Server (LLS) in the My HCLSoftware (MHS) portal to download the license file which is further utilized in your LLS installation.

Procedure

Click the Deployments tab.
Identify the deployment you want to update.
Select the Activate License Server option from the deployment menu.
Select Local and click Activate License Server.
Enter the fingerprint.
The fingerprint is generated by using the LLS utility program.
Click Save and Download.

Results

The Local License Server is activated and the license server file is downloaded.

Note: After the license file is downloaded, the Activate License Server option changes to Update License Server Fingerprint. You can use this option to update the fingerprint at any time.
