Deploying CDP DMP Producer
This section describes the steps to configure and deploy the HCL CDP DMP Producer Service on an Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) cluster using the provided Helm chart.
Before you begin
The required HCL CDP Helm charts and container images must be downloaded and pushed to the container registry. For more information, see the Downloading HCL CDP Artifacts section.
To create the cdp-dmp-producer secret in the HashiCorp Vault, follow the steps below:
Create a cdp-dmp-producer secret sample key and value in the cdp-dmp-producer secret shown below and update the actual values.

Procedure
- Configure chart-location/cdp-dmp-prod/values.yaml with the environment-specific configuration.
- Enable ConfigMaps and configure the required CDP DMP Producer application URLs.
- Update the HCL CDP DMP Producer Service container image repository and required image version/tag.
-
Verify the image pull secret exists.
kubectl get secret hclcr-cred -n cdp-dev-app - Enable Ingress and configure the required hostname, path, and TLS settings.
-
Ensure the
vault-credsSecret exists.kubectl get secret vault-creds -n cdp-dev-app -
The init container retrieves the
cdp-dmp-producersecret from CDP_Secrets and writes it to /etc/secrets/mysecrets.json. -
Verify or create the namespace.
kubectl get namespace cdp-dev-appIf the namespace does not exist, create it:
kubectl create namespace cdp-dev-app -
Install CDP DMP Producer Service using Helm.
helm install cdp-dmp-prod \ chart-location/cdp-dmp-prod \ -f chart-location/cdp-dmp-prod/values.yaml \ -n cdp-dev-app -
Verify the Helm release status.
helm list -n cdp-dev-appExpected status:
deployed. -
Verify the deployment and pods.
kubectl get deployment -n cdp-dev-app kubectl get pods -n cdp-dev-app -l k8s-app=cdp-dmp-producerExpected pod status: READY
1/1, STATUSRunning.
