Assigning events in the DDM database to an administrator
In the DDM database, you can assign one or more selected events to an administrator that you choose. Assigning events enables you to manage Event documents and to delegate issues to be addressed in your domain.
About this task
When you finish assigning events to administrators, you can verify that you have assigned all events correctly by opening the By Assignment view. You can also look at the entries in the Event Change History section of an Event document to see assignment activity. Every Event document also displays the event state and assignment at the beginning of the document.
Note: To assign
an event to an administrator, or to reassign events that are owned
by another administrator, you must have a minimum of Editor access
with the role Assign Events in the ACL for DDM.NSF.
To assign one of your own events to another administrator, you must
have Author access with the role Assign Events. The Assign Events
button does not display if you do not have the required access. Author
access is required to add comments to your own events; Editor access
is required to add comments to another administrator's events.
