Deploying applications and viewing responses
After a Domino Leap application is built it must be deployed. After it is deployed, you can supply users with the URL of the application so they can launch it. After users submit completed forms, you can view the responses.
Upgrading applications
Once an application has been deployed, it is unwise to continue editing the live production version - it is not possible to test the application in that scenario without deploying to the live production environment. Domino Leap 1.0.1 provides an Upgrade feature, which enables developers to evolve a parallel copy of the application and then upgrade the production version only after all the changes have been made and also tested in the working copy.

- Adding formulas to your application
  Use formulas to assign values to items on an HCL Domino Leap form or app page. They are divided into two categories: Item Formulas, which list formulas created from the Properties panel, and General Formulas, which list complex formulas created from the Settings tab.

    Deploying a Domino Leap application makes it available for users. When you click Deploy, the application is loaded onto a server. You can deploy an application immediately.

  - Launching an application
    After a Domino Leap application is deployed, the Launch link is enabled. When you click Launch, the live application opens in a new window.
  - Viewing submitted responses
    After users complete and submit forms, you can view the submitted responses. Responses are available compiled into summary charts, or as a list of individual forms.
  - Importing data in view responses
    Application Owners can use an Import Data operation on the View Responses page to import spreadsheet data into their application. This can provide a quick start method for adding many records/rows of data into an application from an existing spreadsheet.
  - Defining permissions to share data with other applications
    Domino Leap applications can share data through services with other Domino Leap applications. To allow other applications access to the data from the application you are designing, you must define the security permissions.

Upgrading applications

Before editing an application that is in production, first Export that application (available on the same menu as Upgrade), then import that application to either a different server or to a different application on the same server. That copy can then be edited and deployed, and all the potential changes tested out. Once you feel that the changes are ready, export the updated application to a .volt file.

Note: When upgrading an application, the .volt file provided to upgrade must have the same parent as the application being upgraded.

Select the Upgrade action from the More menu.
Choose the .volt file where the changes have been made.
Indicate whether or not any existing data should be replaced.
Click OK.
The application is then updated and redeployed. Since the live production application is now being modified, it is recommended that this action be done in off hours or at a time when the application is not in use.
