  A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server provides a structured way for GenAI clients to access tools, data, and actions through a consistent, secure interface. When you connect a GenAI client that supports MCP to the HCL DevOps Velocity (Velocity) MCP server, you can use natural-language requests to retrieve information from your Velocity.

Downloading the installation file

Before you install HCL DevOps Velocity (Velocity), download the appropriate installaers for HCL DevOps Velocity (Velocity).

Before you begin

You must have obtained the login credentials to access the FlexNet download center.

About this task

If you have any firewall restrictions in your Kubernetes cluster, you can download the offline installation file and push the images to the remote registry which can be accessed by the Kubernetes cluster during installation. If you do not have any firewall restrictions in your Kubernetes cluster, you can download the online installation file and the images will be directly extracted from the remote repository during installation.

Procedure

You can download the installation file by using any one of the following methods:

Complete the form and click Submit .After a few minutes, you will receive an email containing download links and an access key for the free trial edition.

Visit the FlexNet download center, navigate to the Velocity product and select the required version. Download the Velocity installer and an access key for your environment.
