This document provides an overview of HCL DevOps Velocity (Velocity).

Obtain the product

To download the free Velocity Community Edition, visit this site and fill out the form. To get a free trial of the Standard Edition of Velocity, email DevOpsInfo@hcl.com.

Learn

For information about Velocity, including descriptions of key features, demo videos, recorded webinars, and blog posts, go to hcltechsw.com/devopsvelocity.
On the Home page, click question mark icon and then select one of the following:
  • Documentation to direct you to the Velocity documentation website.
  • Getting started for an overview of the Value Streams, Releases, Insights, and Pipelines of Velocity. Also, you can set up and learn more about integrations.
  • Support portal to visit the HCL Software customer support portal.
  • Ideas portal to suggest software improvements at the HCLSoftware Customer Ideas Portal.
  • Plugins to enhance software tools with HCL plugins at this website.
  • About for the version of Velocity installed on your machine.
    Note:

    The Getting started page is displayed to all users, including administrators, when you log in to Velocity for the first time. Users with the Product Administrator role can see the Install demo data button. For more information about the roles, see Roles and permissions.

    To install the DevOps Velocity Data Generator plugin, you can click Install demo data. After installation, the demo data is added so that you can view value streams, pipelines, and other areas of the product.

    To remove the demo data, you can click Delete demo data.
