Adding a database connection to a security group
You can add the database connection to a security group to grant access to the security group for other project members in HCL DevOps Test Hub (Test Hub). After the access is provided, they can use the database connection to create the database query and import the data from the database.
Before you begin
You must have completed the following tasks:
- Ensured that you are assigned a role as a Project Owner or Tester in the project. See Managing access to the server projects.
- Added at least one database connection and restricted the access to other members of the project. See Adding a database connection
- Added the remote Git repository that contains the test resources to the project. See Adding repositories to a server project.
- Created at least one security group. See Creating a security group.
Procedure

Log in to Test Hub.
The Projects page of the initial team space is displayed.

Click to open the project that contains the test assets.
The Overview page of the project is displayed.
- Click a security group for which you want to add the database connection in the list under Security Group.

Click the Add Connection icon
to select the database that you want to add to the
security group.
The Add Connection dialog is displayed. - Click the Database Connection field to view the available database connection in the project.
- Identify and select the database connection that you want to add to the security group.

Enter the password that you use to connect to the database in the
Password field.
Tip:You can click the view icon
to view the entered password and ensure that you entered the
correct password. -
Click Add.
The database connection that is added to the security group is displayed.
