Removing a VOB destroys all of its data. Do not remove
a VOB unless the data that it contains is no longer valuable.
About this task
To remove a VOB, use the following procedure.
Procedure
- Verify that the VOB is not in use.
Clients that
use dynamic views must unmount the VOB. Users with snapshot views
should remove the VOB from their load rules.
- Remove the VOB.
You can use the rmvob command
or the DevOps Code ClearCase® Administration
Console. To use the DevOps Code ClearCaseAdministration
Console, navigate to the VOB storage node for the VOB (a subnode of
the host node for the host where the VOB storage directory resides)
and then click .
- Stop and restart DevOps Code ClearCase on
the VOB host.
This terminates the VOB's server processes.
