Taking a view out of service

To take a view out of service temporarily, stop its view_server process and remove its view tag.

To take a view out of service, use the following procedure.

Procedure

  1. Stop itsview_server process.
    Use cleartool endview command:

    cleartool endview –server alh_main

  2. After the view's server process has stopped, remove the view tag by using the DevOps Code ClearCase® Administration Console or the cleartool rmtag command.
