The DevOps Code ClearCase registry
The DevOps Code ClearCase® registry provides a central repository of information about VOB and view locations, default values for various host DevOps Code ClearCase settings, and other information that a DevOps Code ClearCase community shares. Every DevOps Code ClearCase host is assigned to (is a client of) a single registry server host. The registry server host can be any computer on which DevOps Code ClearCase is installed.
A DevOps Code ClearCase community is defined in part by use of a common registry. If the registry server host becomes unavailable or registry data becomes corrupted, users cannot access artifacts under DevOps Code ClearCase control. For the most part, registry data is created, modified, and removed automatically, but there are some cases where administrative intervention may be required.
See Administering the DevOps Code ClearCase registry for more information about the DevOps Code ClearCase registry.
