        List the activities that you can manipulate programmatically. You can retrieve a list of all activities or filter the list by viewing activities that are associated with a specific member.

        Use standard Java™ code or the filtering command provided by the ListService object to retrieve a subset of activities or entries on which you would like to perform an operation.

        Use administrative commands to change member access levels and synchronize member IDs.
        Retrieving member information
        Learn about the administrative commands that display the members of an activity. You can retrieve either a single member or a list of members.
        Managing member access to activities
        Use administrative commands to change the level of access that members have to one or more activities.

        Use administrative commands and edit configuration property settings to move activities and entries to the Trash view, empty the trash, restore activities and entries from the Trash view, mark inactive activities complete, and perform other trash management tasks.

    You configure and administer Bookmarks using scripts accessed using the wsadmin client. Changes to Bookmarks configuration settings require a restart of the Bookmarks server before they take effect. Changes made using administrative commands take effect immediately.

    A Library provides the services of an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system to Communities. To enable the use of Libraries, you must make some configuration changes to Connections and to each ECM system that you plan to use.

    Administer metrics in IBM® Connections by modifying configuration settings, backing up data, and running commands to perform maintenance tasks.
  - Administering the News repository
    You administer the News repository using scripts accessed using the wsadmin client. Changes to News configuration settings require node synchronization and a restart of the Home page server before they take effect.

    Profiles provides two types of administrative capabilities: configuration settings and administrative commands. You change configuration settings and execute administrative commands by running scripts from the wsadmin command line.

Note: When the name of a group that is used in an activity is renamed in LDAP, the old group name still appears on the Members page of the activity.
