This Help Center provides documentation on all aspects of the HCL Commerce+ product, from installation and deployment to operating and customization.
Extending
Using Commerce+'s xC programming model, you can use HCL-provided extension points to extend existing Commerce logic. You can implement these extensions with the xC Customization toolkit provided by HCL. Commerce+ also provides Packaged Business Capability integrations that extend the product's reach and functionality.
Developing stores
Commerce+ offers customizable features for storefronts using the Next.js framework. Commerce+ supports headless commerce to use any front end storefront.
Ruby storefronts
The Ruby storefront offers customizable features for storefronts using the Next.js framework. It uses the headless store data template and supports business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) use cases. The store includes pages for browsing, shopping, checkout, and account management, and uses Elastic for search functions.
Ruby B2B storefront
The Ruby B2B storefront is enabled for B2B e-commerce. The sample B2B storefront is called Ruby B2B. The Ruby B2B storefront features include B2B features, in addition to all of the available features in the B2C storefront.
Product details page
You use the Ruby B2B storefront Product Details Page (PDP) to view details about a product. The layout that is assigned to the page displays the product name, price, full image, short description, the defining attributes, and more.

        Organization and buyer registration
        The Registration page of a Ruby B2B storefront is a dual-purpose page that supports the registration of both buyers and organizations.
        Product details page
        You use the Ruby B2B storefront Product Details Page (PDP) to view details about a product. The layout that is assigned to the page displays the product name, price, full image, short description, the defining attributes, and more.
        Requisition lists
        Users can use Requisition Lists to periodically reorder the same items. User can add frequently ordered items to a private or shared requisition lists. To use this feature on Ruby B2B storefront, user must navigate to Account settings and click Requisition Lists in the Order Management section.

        The Ruby storefront (B2C) is built on the Next.js framework, ensuring seamless browsing, easy navigation, and secure transactions. Notably, this new storefront provides server-side rendered pages to assist with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and page previews.

Product details for Ruby B2B storefront

You use the Ruby B2B storefront Product Details Page (PDP) to view details about a product. The layout that is assigned to the page displays the product name, price, full image, short description, the defining attributes, and more.

The center of the layout contains the SKU List widget. Customers can view the full set of SKUs associated to a product in a table and scan the attributes quickly to pick the right combination. They can add one or more SKUs to their current order or a requisition list in a single action. To add one or more SKUs to a requisition list, click on current order or add to requisition list and select the respective requisition list.

The layout also contains several widgets that have e-Marketing Spots to display advertisements and product recommendations.

Product details page is managed in the Page Composer tool.

Note: When searching for a product and opening the PDP, the SKU list shows only a specific SKU instead of all SKUs associated with that product. The Ruby B2B storefront passes additional query parameters to the PDP to pre-select attribute values, ensuring that only the relevant SKU is displayed rather than the full list.

Widget information

The following Page Composer tool widgets are included in the default layout for the product details page:

Breadcrumb Trail: It displays the breadcrumb trail on the catalog entry page.
Product Summary: Displays the summary of the product on the product page. This Widget can only be used with the product page and the B2B product Page templates.
SKU List: It displays the list of SKUs on a product page. This widget can only be used with the product page and the B2B product Page templates.
Attribute Filter: Displays an attribute filter on the product page. It can be used with the SKU List widget. This widget can only be used with the product page and the B2B product Page templates.
