Creating a billing address for an order
You can create a billing address for an order, and add it to the list of billing addresses for the customer. For a payment method, a billing address is a must. Depending on the terms that are stipulated in the customer's contract, you might not have the authority to change the billing address for the order, or to create a new one. In this case, the information that is presented on the Billing Address page is read-only.
Procedure
- Open HCL Commerce Accelerator
- Find the order that you want to work with.
- Open the Change Order notebook by selecting the check box next to the order that you want to work with, and clicking Change.
- When you open the notebook, the Products page is displayed. From the left navigation frame, click Billing Address. The Billing Address page is displayed.
- Click New. The Create Billing Address window opens.
- Provide
the following billing information:
- In the Address identifier field, type a brief (one or two word) description to identify the billing address. For example, if the customer wants to bill an order to a home address, use a billing address identifier called "Home". Likewise, to bill an order to a work location, use an address identifier called "Work".
- In the Last name field, type the customer's last name.
- In the First name field, type the customer's first name.
- In the Street address fields, type the customer's billing address in one or more of the address fields.
- In the City, field, type the city of the customer's billing address.
- In the State/Province field, select or type the state or province of the customer's billing address.
- In the Country/Region field, select the country or region of the customer's billing address.
- In the ZIP/Postal code field, type the ZIP or postal code of the customer's billing address.
- In the Phone number field, type the customer's phone number.
- In the E-mail address field, type the customer's e-mail address.
- Click OK. After the new billing address is created, the system uses it as the billing address for the current customer order.
