Push to Live
In version 9.1.4, for HCL Commerce integration with HCL Digital Experience, the push to live process must be coordinated manually.
Although you can configure Syndication for HCL Digital Experience to push content to live, it is recommended that you manually push only the published content for all libraries in HCL Digital Experience in coordination with the HCL Commerce push to live processes.
It is recommended that you run the processes in the following order:
- Propagate staged data and managed files from the production-ready data to the production environment using the stagingprop utility. For more information, see stagingprop utility.
- Propagate the HCL Commerce search index.
- If you are using Elasticsearch, for more information, see Building the Elasticsearch index and Deploying Elasticsearch using in a production environment.
- If you are using Solr search, propagate the HCL Commerce search
index by calling the
indexprop
REST API. For more information, see Propagating the HCL Commerce Search index with the repeater.
- HCL Digital Experience Syndicate from authoring to live. For more information, see https://help.hcltechsw.com/digital-experience/9.5/panel_help/wcm_syndication_settingup.html.
- Cache invalidation (if required). For more information, see Cache invalidation.
- Perform this step only after a new organization is
added in B2B store and pushed to Live DB.
- In Live CMC Users tool, create a new user under the newly added organization.
- Assign role as Buyer administrator.
- Assign groups as OrderApprovalGroup - <new_org_name> and UserRegistrationApprovalGroup - <new_org_name>
