Before you begin

Review Planning to migrate WebSphere Commerce.
Generate and review a product comparability report for WebSphere Commerce Version 8.0.
From your WebSphere Commerce Version 7.0 environment, ensure that all tasks are approved and all workspaces are closed.
From your WebSphere Commerce Version 7.0 environment, use the following utilities to ensure that your staging database and production database are synchronized:
1. stagingprop utility
2. indexprop utility
Note: Once the staging and production databases are in sync, a content-freeze should be in effect until the live production environment is migrated.
