The sample configuration for integrating with the Aurora starter store provides a preconfigured order management-to-storefront environment that you can test to understand the significant features of the WebSphere Commerce integration with Sterling Order Management.
The WebSphere Commerce Aurora starter store provides features and models necessary for an online consumer storefront. In the sample storefront, shoppers perform typical online shopping activities, such as purchase items in a shopping cart, change their orders, receive promotions, have orders shipped, or buy items online that customers then pick up in a store.
On the Sterling Order Management side, the associated Aurora-Corp provides preconfigured business rules and a participant and organization modeling structure. The preconfiguration includes inventory and pricing organizations, an inventory availability monitor (RTAM), charge categories, sourcing rules, shipping options, and sample warehouses. You can customize the sample configuration to create a scenario that meets your own business needs.
You can install the sample configuration only if no other sample data is already installed.

Create order in Sterling Order Management and ship from store with inventory | This use case shows how you can ship an order from a store when you create the order in Sterling Order Management. |
Create order in Sterling Order Management and ship from alternate store due to inventory availability | This use case demonstrates how you can create an order in Sterling Order Management and ship the order from an alternate store because the original store does not have enough inventory. For example, if an order requires three items and Store A has only two items in inventory, the third item can ship from Store B, which does have inventory. |
Buy online, pick up in store | This scenario demonstrates how you can create an order on the Aurora storefront that is picked up by the customer in a store. |
