The recommended integration method for WebSphere Commerce and WebSphere ILOG JRules
on the same system is using the POJO rule session type. The alternative is to use the EJB rule
session type, which requires that you perform an additional configuration procedure in the
development environment only. You do not have to perform this procedure on a WebSphere Commerce
instance. For the POJO rule session type, no additional configuration is required.
Procedure
-
On the development machine that you are integrating with WebSphere ILOG JRules:
-
Open the following file in an editor:
- WCDE_installdir/workspace/WC/META-INF/application.xml
-
Add the following module definition:
<module>
<ejb>lib/jrules/jrules-res-session-ejb3-WAS7.jar</ejb>
</module>
-
Save and close the file.
-
On the server on which you installed the WebSphere ILOG JRules product:
-
Navigate to the following directory:
jrules-res-session-ejb3-WAS7.jar/META-INF/
-
In the directory, create a new text file with the following name:
-
Add the following XML code to the file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ejb-jar-bnd xmlns="http://websphere.ibm.com/xml/ns/javaee"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://websphere.ibm.com/xml/ns/javaee
http://websphere.ibm.com/xml/ns/javaee/ibm-ejb-jar-bnd_1_0.xsd"
version="1.0">
<session name="IlrStatelessSessionEJB3">
<resource-ref name="eis/XUConnectionFactory"
binding-name="eis/XUConnectionFactory" />
</session>
</ejb-jar-bnd>
-
Save and close the file.
