To use the Madisons mobile starter store, you must first publish a working store, and
then share its data assets by publishing the Madisons mobile starter store.
Before you begin
Before you can complete the tasks outlined in this topic, make sure that you have completed
the following prerequisites:
- Installed WebSphere Commerce version 7
- Published a working store
About this task
The Madisons mobile starter store shares data assets with the Madisons starter store.
The publish process extracts the JSP files and JSP fragment files into the
WC_eardir/Stores.war/storedir/mobile
directory. The struts-config-ext.xml configuration file and access control
policies are updated, and the access control policies are stored in the
mobile.xml file.
The Madisons mobile starter store e-Marketing Spots contain a mobile
prefix to distinguish them from the Madisons starter store e-Marketing Spots of the same name.
Procedure
-
Publish your Madisons mobile SAR file by selecting the store archive:
- A starter composite store archive containing pages for the Madisons Mobile storefront.
- A starter composite store archive containing pages for the Madisons Mobile storefront.
- The enhancements enable digital wallet support in the mobile store checkout and My Account
flows.
-
Select the customer facing store.
The customer facing store is the parent store where the mobile store pages are deployed.
For example:
- Madisons, for a consumer direct Madisons starter store.
- MadisonsStorefrontAssetStore, for an asset store.
- The same store name you used in the store creation wizard, for an Extended site.
Important: Note the following behavior when targeting an asset store or Extended site:
- If the Madisons mobile starter store archive targets an asset store, it will be published to
each associated Extended site.
- If the Madisons mobile starter store archive targets an individual Extended site, however, it
will only be published to the targeted Extended site.
-
Select the Presentation Asset Store.
For the Presentation Asset Store, choose the store where you want the mobile e-Marketing spots to
be defined. This is either an asset store or an Extended site.
For example:
- Madisons, for a consumer direct Madisons starter store.
- MadisonsStorefrontAssetStore, for an asset store.
- MadisonsESite or the name of your Extended site for an Extended site.
Note: When publishing MadisonsMobile.sar or
MadisonsMobileEnhancements.sar, you might be prompted to select a Catalog asset store.
This is a known problem with the SAR file, where it should prompt you to select a Presentation asset
store instead. For this option, select the store where the sample mobile Marketing data must be
deployed to.
-
Verify that the mobile store is published correctly by opening the store.
