Installing WebSphere Commerce 32-bit on a single machine using the quick installation
A quick installation is a basic installation of WebSphere Commerce 32-bit on a single machine. Quick installation for WebSphere Commerce 64-bit is unsupported.
Updating the WebSphere Commerce non-root user
For WebSphere Commerce to function correctly, ensure the non-root user's .profile file on all Unix platforms is updated. If the file is not updated automatically, update the file.

For WebSphere Commerce to function correctly, ensure the non-root user's .profile file on all Unix platforms is updated. If the file is not updated automatically, update the file.

Procedure

Ensure that the WebSphere Commerce non-root user's .profile file calls the DB2 database user's .profile file. Check that the following line is in the non-root user's .profile file:

. /DB2_userdir/.profile
.DB2_userdir/.profile

Where DB2_userdir is the full path of the DB2 user home directory.

Note: Ensure that the DB2_userdir/.profile file does not contain any statements that will not run in sh.
