Installing the IBM Sales Center toolkit

The IBM Sales Center toolkit is installed as part of installing WebSphere Commerce Developer Professional Edition or Enterprise Edition. The feature is selected at the same time as selecting the WebSphere Commerce toolkit. Install the IBM Sales Center client on the same machine before proceeding with installing WebSphere Commerce Developer, or the toolkit installation will fail.

Before you begin

Complete these tasks:
  1. Installing Rational Application Developer or Rational Software Architect
  2. Installing IBM Sales Center for WebSphere Commerce
  3. Applying fixes to Rational Application Developer or Rational Software Architect
  4. Applying fixes to the WebSphere Application Server test environment
  5. Installing WebSphere Commerce Developer by using the IBM Installation Manager

Procedure

  1. If you didn't select the IBM Sales Center toolkit when installing WebSphere Commerce Developer, use the following steps to install IBM Sales Center toolkit:
    1. Ensure the WebSphere Commerce development environment is not running and that the WebSphere Commerce test server is stopped.
    2. Launch IBM Installation Manager.
    3. Ensure that the WebSphere Commerce Developer repository is added to the Installation Manager.
    4. Click Modify.
    5. Select the package group where WebSphere Commerce Developer is installed. Click Next.
    6. Click Next on the language page.
    7. Select IBM Sales Center toolkit from the features list. Click Next.
    8. Review the summary and click Modify to start the installation of IBM Sales Center toolkit.
    9. Click Finish after the installation successfully completes.
  2. Add the IBM Sales Center toolkit to the WebSphere Commerce Developer installation:
    1. Open the WCDE_installdir/bin/setenv.bat file in a text editor:
    2. Ensure that the RAD_HOME environment variable points to the correct Rational Application Developer or Rational Software Architect installation location.
    3. Ensure that the WED_HOME environment variable points to the correct IBM Sales Center for WebSphere Commerce location.
    4. Save the file and exit.
