
Installing and configuring the WebSphere Commerce Search Connector
You can use the WebSphere Commerce Search Connector to connect and communicate with the BloomReach SNAP services.
You install the WebSphere Commerce Search Connector using the IBM Installation Manager, then configure the WebSphere Commerce Search Connector using the enablement script.
Before you begin
Complete the following installation and enablement tasks:
Complete the following tasks so that the enablement script
in this task functions correctly:
Ensure that you are logged on as the WebSphere Commerce non-root user.
Ensure that you are logged on as a user that has *SECOFR authority.
- Ensure that your administrative server is started. For example:
- If WebSphere Commerce is managed by WebSphere Application Server Deployment manager (dmgr), start the deployment manager and all node agents. Your cluster can also be started.
- If WebSphere Commerce is not managed by WebSphere Application Server Deployment manager (dmgr), start the WebSphere Application Server server1.
- Ensure that your WebSphere Commerce search server is started.
Complete the onboarding tasks. For example, where:
- Your WebSphere Commerce information is created in the BloomReach system.
- Your WebSphere Commerce information is configured to work with the BloomReach SNAP platform.
- An FTP account is created to store your WebSphere Commerce configuration and other files that might be required for your integration to function correctly.
- Your setup and account information is shared with you as part of the onboarding process between you and the BloomReach team.
