Samples
Starter stores
A fully functional sample online store, provided in store archive format with WebSphere Commerce. Starter stores are samples designed to be used as a base from which a customized online store can be created. Starter stores are translated into several languages and support multiple Web browsers and platforms. Starter stores are fully accessible, with the exception of the Madisons mobile starter store. Accessibility guidelines for mobile devices are not well defined or well established.
Extended sites starter store
Use an extended sites starter store to get started on setting up an extended sites solution that will allow your selling organization to provide unique storefronts for different enterprise customers or showcase a number of branded storefronts.
Setting up the Extended Sites environment
To setup an Extended Sites environment you must publish the required Extended Sites starter store archives and enable inventory tracking for your Extended Sites. You can then schedule site-level jobs, configure e-Mail notifications, load your Extended Site catalog data, and modify your Extended Site and asset store archive flows to share and deploy the assets for your Extended Sites.

Procedure

You can use either WebSphere Commerce Accelerator or Management Center to create a master catalog.

Option	Description
WebSphere Commerce Accelerator	Create your catalog data in XML files, and then complete one of the following steps: Load the catalog data into the database using the loading utilities. Publish the catalog data as part of the store archive using the Publish wizard. Create your catalog data in CSV format, and load it into the database using the Catalog Import tool.
Management Center	Create your catalog data in CSV format, and load it into the database using the Data Load utility. Create your catalog data in XML format, and load it into the database using the Data Load utility.
