Migrating
Before you migrate WebSphere Commerce, review this information for an overview of the migration process.
Taking your first steps after WebSphere Commerce migration
After you have migrated your database and application tiers, migrate applicable WebSphere Commerce features, functions and customizations you have performed.
Migrating promotions
The Management Center Promotions tool significantly changes the promotion data model. This change requires that promotions made in earlier versions of WebSphere Commerce be migrated so that they work properly in the Promotions tool for the Management Center. A promotion migration utility is provided for this purpose.
Making migrated promotions visible in WebSphere Commerce Accelerator
After you migrate a promotion partially or completely to the Management Center, you might have a business need to view the migrated promotions in the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator. These promotions will be in a read-only state in the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

Procedure

Open the RLDiscountList.jsp file in an editor:
WC_profiledir/installedApps/WC_instance_name_cell/WC_instancename.ear/CommerceAccelerator.war/tools/epromotion/RLDiscountList.jsp
WCDE_installdir/CommerceAccelerator/WebContent/tools/epromotion/RLDiscountList.jsp

Locate the following line of code:

simpleList.setParm("filterCMCPromotions","true");

Replace the value of true to false; the revised line of code should look like this:
```
simpleList.setParm("filterCMCPromotions","false");
```
Save and close the file.
Deploy the file to the WebSphere Commerce Enterprise Archive.
