Migrating WebSphere Commerce

Migrating WebSphere Commerce includes completing steps in a specific order.

These steps can be performed separately over a period of time, but the steps must be completed in order as shown. For example, you can perform the database migration and then complete the application migration at a later date.
  1. Performing premigration actions including:
    1. Backing up the WebSphere Commerce database.
    2. Upgrading the software.
  2. Migrating the database.
  3. Migrating the application.
  4. Configuring the application and Web server.
  5. Verifying the migration.
Note: Configuring the application and Web server is a single task that should be performed at the same time.
