Improve store navigation with a default catalog
If your store has more than one catalog, business users can set a default catalog. Setting a default catalog controls which catalog a shopper views when visiting a store without specifying a catalog in the URL.
By setting a default catalog, your Category Managers and Product Managers can improve store navigation for shoppers that visit your store. Your Category and Product Managers can set and change the default catalog with the Catalogs tool, and select the default catalog from among all available catalogs.
If you are using an extended site
store model, you can:
- Set the default catalog at the asset store so that all your extended site stores can inherit a single default catalog.
- Set the default catalog at the extended site store to override an asset store default catalog. Overriding the asset store ensures that your extended site stores can have a default catalog specific to that store.
