Granting role assignment permissions is the act of associating
a set of assignable roles with an assigning role. This permits a user
who is granted the assigning role to assign roles from the set assignable
roles to other users.
Procedure
- Open the
Organization Administration Console.
- Click Access Management > Role
Assignment Permissions.
- From the Assigning Role list, select
the role for which you want define a set of assignable roles.
- Perform one of the following tasks:
- If you want the assigning role to be able to assign all current
and future assignable roles, select All assignable roles and
click Apply Changes.
- If you want to create a fixed set of assignable roles:
- Select Selected assignable roles.
- Select the role or roles you want to include in the set of assignable
roles in Available assignable roles and click
<<.
If you want to remove roles,
select the role or roles in Selected assignable roles and
click >>.
- When you have the set of roles defined in Selected
assignable roles, click Apply Changes.
After you click Apply Changes, the
list of all defined role assignment permissions is refreshed in Defined
role assignment permissions.
You can define a set
of assignable roles for a different role by repeating steps 3 and
4 for each role for which you want to define a set of assignable roles.
- When you have finished granting role assignment permissions,
click OK.
