About this task
After you install the IBM® BigFix® Remote Control target,
you can enable NIST SP800-131A compliance by editing the target registry.
To enable NIST SP800-131A compliance, complete the following steps.
Procedure
- Run the regedit command at a command
prompt window.
- In the Windows™ registry,
go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\Tivoli\Remote Control\Target
On a 64-bit system, the 32-bit registry keys are under the WOW6432Node
key.
For example, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\IBM\Tivoli\Remote
Control\Target.
- Right-click SP800131ACompliance and
select Modify.
- Type yes in the Value
data field and click OK.

Restart the target service.
