Virtual Endpoint Manager Fixlets
Fixlets are BigFix actions that automate tasks on virtual machines, such as creating snapshots, deploying patches, and installing software.
In Virtual Endpoint Manager (VEM), Fixlets are the primary mechanism for automating operations on virtual machines (VMs). When you deploy a Fixlet from the BigFix console, BigFix communicates with the target virtualization platform — such as VMware vCenter — to perform the specified action on the selected VM.
Fixlets are available for a range of VM lifecycle tasks, including creating snapshots before deployments, installing patches or software, and restoring VMs to a previous state. Each Fixlet can be targeted at individual VMs or groups, and its progress and results are reported back to the BigFix console.
