Adding a Unica Discover Session Archiving server

In this installation step, you add the Unica Discover Session Archiving server.

About this task

Session File Export requires a Unica Discover Session Archiving Server to manage extraction and data output.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Unica Discover Portal as an administrator.
  2. From the Portal menu, select Discover > Portal Management.

    The Portal Management page opens.

  3. In the left navigation pane, click Discover Servers.
  4. Click the Manage Servers link. The list of currently available servers is displayed.

  5. If an Unica Discover Session Archiving server does not exist, click New and select Session Archiving Server from the menu.
    • If a Unica Discover Session Archiving server exists, select it and click Edit.
  6. Edit the Unica Discover Session Archiving Server properties.
    1. Click the Active check box.
    2. Enter the Display Name for the server.

      The default value is Session Archiving Server.

    3. From the list, select the server that is hosting the Unica Discover Session Archiving Server.
    4. Enter the port number to use.

      The default value is 19000.

    5. Click Save.

Results

The server is added to the list.
