Run cycle preview
The run cycle preview provides a graphical representation of the run instances generated by the run cycle rules for a workflow or run cycle group, on a full year basis.
The run cycle preview uses a calendar format to visualize the results of rules applied to run cycles, combined with items properties. This feature helps you understand how run cycle definitions impact workflows or run cycle groups by highlighting when instances are added or removed on specific days.
- Visualizing the run cycle preview
- You can visualize the run cycle preview when creating or editing workflow and run

- Interaction and refresh
- The run cycle preview automatically refreshes any time you modify a property
of the item that affects the generated instance. Moreover, the preview
updates each time you navigate the calendar forward or backward, or when you
switch from the All run cycles preview to a specific run cycle or
subset preview. The All run cycles preview shows the
combination of all the run cycles defined for the workflow or
run cycle group:
- Inclusive instances.
- Exclusive and inclusive instances which result in excluding all of them.
- Exclusive and inclusive instances which result in excluding some of them.
