Manage multiple items with a single command
The Orchestration CLI now includes powerful new capabilities for managing multiple items within a folder at once. This feature enables you to modify or extract all, or a specific selection of, scheduling and security item definitions with a single command, dramatically speeding up bulk operations and environment management.
Previously, managing a large number of definitions often required handling each item individually, a time-consuming and error-prone process. With this enhancement, you can now orchestrate large-scale changes and migrations with considerably less effort. This Orchestration CLI enhancement gives significant advantages:
- Efficient bulk operations
- Modify or extract all items within a specified folder, and even its subfolders, using a single command, saving significant time and reducing manual effort.
- Simplified environment migration
- Extract numerous item definitions from a folder into a single file and import them into a new environment, ensuring a consistent transition.
- Granular item selection
- Target specific types of items for your operation. For example, you can choose to update only the tasks and workflows within a folder, leaving other definitions untouched.
- Unified folder and security management
- Manage both scheduling items and security definitions together, enabling simultaneous updates with a single, consolidated command.
This Orchestration CLI enhancement provides a better way to manage your orchestration environment at scale, streamlining administrative tasks and reducing the complexity of migrations. For more information, see Managing multiple items in a folder.
