Topic - Allowing the end user to specify the user id and password for SSH
If you want to create a session profile that allows the end user to specify the user id and the password for an SSH connection, you can do so by leaving the User ID and Password fields blank in the SSH configuration window. To repeat,
- Leave the User ID field blank.
- Leave the Password field blank.
When the end user starts the session, Z and I Emulator for Web displays windows that prompt for a user id and password. The user can specify any valid user id and password.
If the end user specifies an invalid user id or an incorrect password, then Z and I Emulator for Web again displays the prompt windows.
The images below show the windows that appear when the end user starts the session. The end user has typed a user id (
user1
) and a password (
user1pass
, which will display as
*********
) into the input fields of the prompt window.
