FTP Session

In ZIE for Web 2.2, we can create FTP Session to connect Host machine and transfer files from Local to Host and vice versa. Files can be downloaded as zip and multiple file transfer can also be done. In case of Uploads, user can upload multiple files, but zip and folder uploads are not possible. Users can create a new file in FTP server and view the file by double clicking it.

Flow of events:

  • Users can create FTP session using deployment wizard.
  • Once the page is created successfully in deployment wizard, access the page in browser.
  • Once the page is accessed, click on that FTP icon, and start the session.
Once the session is established, login to FTP by giving username and password. Only the user can see the keystore password and public key alias fields if SSH is enabled.

Toolbar Icons:

In the FTP toolbar, users have Refresh, Duplicate, Properties, ASCII, Binary, and Close icons. Timeout and Delay fields are newly added under properties.

Upload Section:

Users can upload files using this option.

Steps to upload the files:

  1. Click the Browse button.
  2. Browse and select the required files.
  3. File names will be displayed in the browse span.
  4. Click the Upload button.
    • Users can see file transfer information in the transfer progress table.
    • Users can also see the number of files added in files added.
  5. Click the Cancel button to remove all files from the browse span.
Note:
  • Users can upload multiple files at a time.
  • Folder and Zip uploads are not possible.

Remote Directory Section

Objects
  • Users will have Refresh, Home, Delete, and Download buttons in the Objects tab and a Host table to list files.
  • In Addition to, user will have create folder, create file icons for creating folder and file.
  • We have added options for sorting the files and changing the view of the table as Sort by and View by.
  • We can see the host table in more readable format by clicking the Maximize icon.
  • We have added options to rename and delete a single file by right clicking it.

Sharing

In this tab, the user will see limitations for the file transfer for both uploads and downloads. The user can choose the maximum file size and maximum no. of files users can transfer. Zip and Parallel file transfer modes are available in the download section.

The default is Zip in file transfer mode, users can download multiple files using Parallel mode. Use the Reset button to reset values.

Transfer Progress Table:

By default, the table is minimized, use maximize icon to display the table. Users will have the following fields in the table:
  • TaskID
  • Source
  • Destination
  • Status
  • Percentage
