What’s new in ZIETrans
This release of ZIETrans v10 introduces a major platform upgrade with Eclipse 4.23 and Java 17, providing improved performance, enhanced security, and better compatibility with modern development standards. Existing projects are automatically migrated. However, minor updates such as adjusting compiler levels, resolving deprecated APIs, and managing dependencies may be required.
Additionally, there are minor UI changes in ZIETrans v10, such as the shift from Navigator to Project Explorer. Overall, the upgrade improves platform stability and future readiness but requires validation and minor code or configuration changes after migration.

z/OS SAF Keyring support for secure telnet connection
Now users can configure a SAF-managed keyring to secure ZIETrans Telnet connections in a z/OS environment. To enable secure communication, provide the required keyring details in the ZIETrans connection security settings.
For more information, refer to the topic SAF Keyring for ZIETrans Telnet Connection.
z/OS SAF Keyring support for Web Express Logon
This release adds SAF Keyring–based support to the 'DCAS/RACF/JDBC Credential Mapper Plug-in' parameter support for z/OS environments. ZIETrans application when deployed in a z/OS environment can leverage SAFKeyring to generate passticket for the RACF users.
For more information, refer to the topic DCAS Parameters for DCAS/RACF/JDBC Credential Mapper Plug-in.
Configuring OIDC for secure ZIETrans Web Applications
This release introduces OIDC-based authentication for securing the ZIETrans web application (WEB Only) and provides configuration of application registration, user authentication flow, and identity information exchange with the OIDC provider.
For more information, refer to the topic OIDC Configuration for Securing ZIETrans Web Application.
Z MFA Credential Mapper Plug-in for Web Express Logon
This release introduces support for the Z MFA OIDC Credential Mapper plug-in, enabling passticket retrieval and providing guidance on OIDC configuration, jwt2ctc endpoint setup, JWT handling, and RACF ID mapping for Z MFA SSO. Additionally, the new zMFAClient object is now available for custom implementation for the Z MFA OIDC Credential Mapper plug-in.
For more information on the Plug-in, refer to the topic Credential Mapper Plug-ins.
For more information on the API, refer to the topic The ZMFAClient object.
Jakarta EE Support
This release introduces guidance on using the Eclipse Transformer tool to migrate Java EE based ZIETrans projects to Jakarta EE, including required JAR files, EAR export and transformation steps, command syntax, and deployment of Jakarta EE–compatible artifacts.
For more information, refer to the topic Jakarta EE Support.
Support for the Latest Struts Framework
ZIETrans can use Struts 6.8.0 to build web pages based on Integration Objects.
Essential Planning and Migration Considerations
This release introduces the Eclipse 4.23 platform upgrade and provides guidance on migrating from Eclipse Oxygen, with a focus on the development impact, tooling updates, and essential migration considerations for ZIETrans development environments.
