Verifying the use of XDUMPs

Regardless of which IVP is used to test the Z Abend Investigator installation, XDUMPs can be tested by temporarily providing the option MaxMinidumpPages(0).

This option can be provided either via the HFZOPTS DDname, or in the HFZCNFxx parmlib member.

Using this option will force a "spill" of all minidump pages to the XDUMP data set. As a result, HFZ0194W will also be issued. This is correct and expected in this situation.
