Truststore password not found at upgrade time

About this task

If you are upgrading from a version earlier than 10.2.1, certificates are automatically upgraded to work with version 10.2.6 and no intervention is required on your part.

However, if HCL Workload Automation cannot retrieve the password for the truststore, the upgrade stops and a message similar to the following is displayed: WAINST0508E: unable to obtain the truststore password. Ensure that the Liberty password utility is installed. If not, install it or define an environment variable named JKS_SSL_PASSWORD and set it to the missing password.

In this case, proceed as stated in the message:

Procedure

  1. Define an environment variable with name JKS_SSL_PASSWORD.
  2. Set it to the password you defined for the certificates.
  3. Restart the upgrade process.
